Although they are great for finding hotels near attractions that I want to visit

Sure, you may need to find some transportation to get to where you want to go or take a short cab ride, but you may find that you save quite a bit of money and get some cheap hotel deals that you would not find in the heart of a tourist destination. This is ideal for those who have a tight vacation budget.

Another great way to find cheap hotel deals, is to ask for a discount. There are many hotels offering discounts for senior citizens, military personnel and AAA members. You may only save a few dollars on your hotel room but any discount is worth looking into. They may also be offering a hotel room discount coupon or summer special too. It doesn’t hurt to ask.
