Cheap Last Minute Flights

Smart travelers know exactly where to find cheap last minute flights. Saving hundreds of dollars on cheap airfares is as easy as clicking a reservation button and ordering your cheap plane ticket to the destination you desire if you know where to look.

Last minute flights are usually the cheapest because commercial airline companies need to fill their flights to capacity in order to make a profit. But you don’t have to rely on cheap last minute airfare deals through your travel agent or an online travel website to find a discount plane ticket.

You can find cheap airfares on your own, by taking a courier flight. Courier flights provide traveler’s with extremely cheap flights to international destinations around the world. They offer huge airfare discounts of 50 to 85% or even more if you are a flexible traveler. You could take a cheap last minute flight as a courier from the US to Paris for little as$350 or to Rome for $250 or even Rio De Jeniero for a mere $300!

As you can see, ticket prices are deeply discounted, you’re probably wondering “so, what’s the catch?”
Well there really isn’t one, Courier companies offer cheap airfares to passengers who are willing to accompany time-sensitive business cargo to overseas destinations. They would rather pay the price of a ticket on a commercial airline than pay the huge costs to fly a jet from their fleet across the world to deliver a few small packages. So they use passanger luggage space to ship the items to their clients.

Freight companies, such as Fedex and UPS transport time sensitive cargo using "casual couriers" because it is much more cost-effective, and it also ensures that their high priority cargo doesn’t have to sit in a customs warehouses for days.
As a courier, you must be willing to give up some or all of your baggage allowance. However, you are permitted carry-on luggage and you can even earn frequent flyer miles when traveling as a courier.

All cheap airfare deals offered to couriers are round-trip tickets except in very rare cases. And courier companies usually have just one courier on each flight. But that doesn't mean there is no chance of traveling with a partner you can occasionally fly as couriers for different companies on the same day on the same airline. Other times, two people can arrange to be couriers on consecutive days.

Advance booking is usually best to get the best cheap flight deals. Cheap airfare to the most popular destinations generally require at least a 2-week advance reservation, especially during the summer when advance booking can be 4 to 6 weeks or more to guarantee a seat.

Prices start to drop the closer it gets to the day or hour of take off. So for the absolute cheapest last minute flight, you must be super flexible and very patient. Once you have reserved the cheap flight to your desired destination, the length of your stay in the country varies according to the ticket.

Some discount tickets are for a 7-day trip, other discount tickets allow you up to 6 months if you desire. Fixed stays of one or two weeks are common on European flights. The Orient and South America generally allow longer stays as a rule, and sometimes require no minimum stay. You will act as a courier on your return flight as well.

To get started exploring the world you need to register with The International Association of Air Travel Couriers at courier.org. Your start-up info will be mailed to you immediately upon receipt of your completed registration form. You are guaranteed acceptance as a courier when you join the IAATC.

They update last minute courier flights at 12 noon and 3 p.m. Eastern Time daily which you can access 24 hours a day. The registration fee to join the association is $45, but the association does not sell tickets or profit in any way from your flight. The organization's mission is to provide up-to-date information on all travel opportunities available to couriers, while working to support courier air travel as a way to see the world on a shoestring.
